Theme for Camp 2017:

“Sami”

Our summer camp was formed to promote and preserve Norwegian heritage through history, crafts, traditional skills and culture classes. Although the focus is Norwegian, all things Scandinavian are embraced. Applicants do not have to be of Norwegian or Scandinavian descent or a member of any affiliated groups such as the Sons of Norway International, Sons of Norway Lodges or Torskeklubben.

It is a non-denominational, multigenerational family camp being that an adult family member or guardian must attend the camp with anyone under the age of 18. Classes are 1 or 2 hours in duration and depending on age and/or interest will determine how many activities or classes a 'camper' will attend. Children are grouped into classes determined by age and enrollment. Teens who have completed grade 9 and adults are also grouped by interest. The youngest age group that classes are offered to are) 5 years of age. For younger children, there are part time crafts, games and playground activities planned, these require the involvement of the accompanying adult, they are also welcome to participate in camp group activities (such as talent night, water slide); they cannot attend classes with a parent or guardian.
